Introduction

Purpose and General Structure of the Day 1.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to welcome you to the ISAD × WHO Day on Friday, 16 October 2026, immediately before the Rajka Symposium in Beijing. The meeting will bring together clinicians, researchers, methodologists, patient representatives, global-health partners, and other stakeholders to advance two closely linked priorities in atopic dermatitis: an international Treat-to-Target consensus and equitable access to effective care.

The meeting builds on the Treat-to-Target initiative launched during the ISAD × WHO pre-meeting in Melbourne in October 2025 (the publication is available here). Since then, ISAD, the International Eczema Council (IEC), and the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA) have established a shared pathway toward a patient-centered and methodologically rigorous consensus on meaningful long-term disease control, with methodological coordination from the Charité Berlin team.

The invitation-only morning workshop will focus on evidence mapping, patient-reported outcomes, data-informed candidate targets, global feasibility, and the future Delphi and consensus process. The afternoon session, which will include industry partners, will discuss ISAD × WHO projects, access to care, and essential medicines in the context of regional implementation challenges and patient priorities.

We look forward to your active participation throughout the day and to a focused discussion that will translate shared principles into practical next steps.

Alain TAÏEB
President, International Society of Atopic Dermatitis
On behalf of ISAD
